Production of heavy-duty slotted channels with anti-slip structure.
The new T50 stands and service areas at Zurich Airport are arranged on both sides of the new taxiways. The southern row of stands is intended for handling Code C and Code E aircraft. Construction started at the beginning of March 2020. After a two-year break due to the coronavirus pandemic, construction work resumed at the beginning of 2023. The new stands are scheduled to go into operation this year.
As a system supplier, MAUDERLI AG was entrusted with an exciting challenge: the slotted channels had to withstand the high loads imposed by the aircraft. For this task, we designed and produced slotted channels made of ultra-high-strength concrete (UHPFRC), which are designed for load class F900. In addition, the surface was provided with an anti-slip structure to ensure safety.
MAUDERLI AG also developed a special formwork suitable for UHPFRC for the production of the slotted channels. In addition to the channels, we also supplied the necessary shafts and water pipes for the entire drainage system.
